Since I was a child, I have been interested in saving, budgeting, and getting the most bang for my buck. My father matched the first $100 of money I ever saved, and I thought that was the greatest thing. But I didn't start off in financial planning.

I graduated form Brigham Young University with bachelor's and master's degrees in Accountancy. I worked at Ernst & Young straight out of college and got my CPA license in 2000. Auditing and big corporate taxes were not for me, and I started my own accounting business three years later, where I focused on small business taxes and financial statement compilations. Yet, in my free time, the articles and books I read were all about financial planning.

In 2021, I became acquainted with Laird Hepburn through LinkedIn. A couple years later, I made a career change and started working with BSG Advisers as a paraplanner.  I am passionate about my work and have a personal interest in retiring tax-free.

I am happily married and have three children, two of whom recently graduated from college debt free. In my spare time, I enjoy building furniture, baking, organizing, painting, watching BYU football, listening to country music, and traveling (especially cruising).
